I think there could be a backlash against further liberalisation. People are fed up with being force fed socially destructive woke ideology and many will include us in their list of undesirables. It is wrong to think of progress as always proceeding along a gradient from dark to light, where light is the direction we wish it to go. I can't remember that man's name, however, he is clearly politically ambitious and such people are not shy of exploiting popular feeling against minority groups.He's one to keep an eye on.
