The Duncan thread is still going. It is most amusing to see the unintelligent efforts the forum prima donnas are making to capture the moral and intellectual high ground, and to have the last word while accusing others of fanning the flames. johnrw 's arrogance might be jaw dropping and breath-taking, were I considerably younger and not so cynical; I could just possibly be fooled by his gaslighting techniques. Insisting that black is white and accusing those who refuse to be cowed of stupidity is his only tactic, and he never deviates from it. I spent a whole afternoon, some months ago, dissecting a series of his comments in one thread, after he'd twice asserted that I'd missed his point and then told me I was thick, only to find, when I tried to post my lengthy reply, that the thread had been locked. Bass sent me one of his primary school headmaster type homilies on 'appropriate behaviour' in the forums. I sent him one of my replies.
Having taken more than fifty years to join BN I'd like to remain a member, however, I'm having doubts about doing so.
