On the Colchester WNBR there was an attack on one of the riders. Lee Turnage was arrested soon after the attack at the Leather Bottle pub and was charge with ABH soon after his arrest and later pled guilty to all of the charges against him. On the 10th of September Mr Turnage attended Colchester Magistrates Court for sentencing.

But the magistrates felt that sentencing Mr Turnage was outside there powers So the case was sent to the Crown Court in Ipswich. At the Crown Court in Ipswich on the 10th November Mr. Lee Turnage was convicted of ABH. Mr. Turnage was also ordered to pay compensation to the victim.

SUSPS - Suspended sentence order - imprisonment Committed to prison for 14 Months suspended for 24 Months. The defendant must comply with the requirements within the supervision period. In the event of activation of sentence: 0 bail remand days to count. Total custodial period 14 Months. Supervision period: 24 Months.

RAR - Rehabilitation activity Rehabilitation Activity Requirement: Offender to comply with any instructions of the responsible officer to attend appointments (with the responsible officer or someone else nominated by them), or to participate in any activity as required by the responsible officer up to a maximum of 15 Days.

UPWR - Unpaid work. Requirement to be completed within 12 months. Unpaid Work Requirement: Carry out unpaid work for 75 Hours within the next twelve months. This work will be supervised by the responsible officer.
