Nottingham walks/picnics Summer 2023Following the success of the previous picnics in Colwick Woods, (and the problems last year!) I am arranging two more picnics for summer 2023. They are Sunday 16th of July and Sunday 13th of August. Both picnics will also include a naturist walk around Colwick Woods.
Anyone will be welcome to attend the walk, the picnic or both. You will simply need to arrive at the appropriate time and stay until you have had enough. The walk starts at 11:00am and the picnic starts at 1:00pm in the afternoon. The meeting place for both is the Colwick Woods telecommunication tower.
Google Street View of the telecommunications tower: https://goo.gl/maps/tMdjTyPgUiAcHGN67There is free roadside parking on Greenwood Road and a frequent bus service (every 15 minutes on Sundays) from Nottingham City Centre to Bakersfield using the service 43. You will need to get off at the first bus stop on Greenwood Road. The bus stop code is BF08 and is confusingly labelled as Harrogate Road. There are no fees for using Colwick Woods.
Both the walk and the picnic will be naturist events but anyone can choose to stay clothed.

The WalkThe walk will start at 11:00 am and will do a circular route through the woods which will last for approximately 1hr 40mins. This will be enough time to cover the majority of the woods, walking through areas of trees and open spaces. You will need to spray with insect repellent if you are vulnerable to insect bites.
We can expect to arrive back at the telecommunication tower for about 12:40 – in time to welcome anyone attending the picnic.
The Picnic.At 1 o’clock, we can find a convenient picnic space on the grass. All you need to bring with you is your picnic hamper, a towel, and a bag to take away your rubbish.
The picnic will start at 1 o’clock but I will be there from about 12:40. Please note that other members of the public (non-naturists) will also be using Colwick Woods during this time. Please note also that there are no public toilets in Colwick Woods so, if you can't ‘go’ behind a bush, please make sure you go before you come!
