Disabilities

Hi all,

Our next campaign is about disabilities.
We feel that people with a disability are still not catered for.  We are asking clubs what provisions they have already in place for a disabled person. I know that they certainly could do more which could include a lot more people. Of course I am not just talking about the physical disability, I am also talking about the hidden disabilities like a learning disability.

Some one like myself i still feel like an out cast because, of my hidden disability as people just judge before they get to know me. I'm so miss understood therefore that 95% of the time i am just ignored or not listened to.  All we are asking is just slight adjustments with no cost or very little cost to the clubs.

What are your views on this matter

Very well said. I drafted a letter which I think was sent to NAG Management, and I would like to know people's response and comments.

It looks to me that naturism has become a second string to NAG, as some people seem to want to import other issues and make them a de-rigour part of naturism. I think this will lead to conflict and failure. Naturism should be about enjoying life free of clothes, in whatever way appeals to the individual. This is not to decry help for people with disabilities, but there are a lot of organisations which campaign on this already as a main topic, and the Disability Discrimination Act already exists as a major vehicle to obtain equality.
